Melting of ice on earth

Greenland is an island lying on the surface square miles of snow or ice. Greenland is also one of the largest store of ice on earth after Antarctica. According to research scientists, Greenland affected by the global warming, the melting of surface ice in Greenland. Scientists estimate that if the Greenland ice continue to melt, the sea level will rise and can flood coastal areas. If that happens, then the ordinary people who live along the coast have to evacuate to get a new home.Antarctic melting feared entirely due to Global Warming.
How melting ice in Greenland could happen? Melting ice in Greenland is actually reasonably incurred, but is offset by the establishment at the top of the glacier which is the source of ice. but because of global warming, glaciers are melting far more than the glaciers formed. That is what causes the glaciers in Greenland ice or less.
The process of melting ice in Greenland preceded by the breakup of giant blocks of ice in Greenland. Greenland can be fragmented because of the nature of the frozen water. The nature of these is the increasing volume of water at the ice. On the surface of the glaciers in Greenland, there are gaps that reach the glacier. Melting ice will become water and into the crevices of this glacier. Water entering these cracks and then freezes. Freezing water has a volume greater than when liquid form so that the frozen water is pushing the ice around it and make a glacier in Greenland rupture.
The scientists found it difficult to prevent this because to stop this melting, it must halt global warming. For that the world is pushing for the reduction of gas emissions from industry, especially from developed countries.
Besides in Greenland, Antarctica is also increasingly threatened by global warming. The process of melting ice in Antarctica is faster because the entire surface of Antarctica is not like ice in Greenland. This results in increasing the speed of melting ice due to the nature of others, namely the ice more easily move on the surface of the liquid than on solid surfaces.

In Greenland, glaciers is above the solid surface, but in the Antarctic ice directly above the water. Ice which is above the water experience more rapid movement than the ice that is above the solid surface. This adds to the factors that cause the ice broke. If the ice in Antarctica broke out, it will be a giant block of ice floating in the ocean and melting more quickly because it has a smaller volume.
